Inspections and Accreditations

RIS Inspections 1

As part of Taaleem’s strategy of continuous improvement and self-evaluation, Taaleem requires each school to pursue accreditation from an independent accreditation body of institutions and academic specialists.

Accreditation is the process used to ensure that schools meet and maintain international standards of quality and integrity regarding academics, administration and related services.

All Taaleem schools apply to become accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), and some of our schools also attain authorisation and accreditation from the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), all global leaders in this field.

RIS is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). RIS was the first school in Abu Dhabi to be fully authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes.

Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) School Inspections
In February 2012, ADEC launched the ‘Irtiqa’a’ programme to assure the quality of education in public and private schools in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The programme aims to meet the highest international performance standards. It comes in line with ADEC’s vision, which calls for high quality education in all schools and for all students. The Irtiqa’a programme is designed to identify quality levels of school performance, provide necessary support to help achieve the highest standards, encourage the implementation of best practice in education and exchange professional expertise. The Irtiqa’a programme sends a clear message that ADEC is willing to provide a world-class comprehensive educational assessment framework.

Irtiqa’a helps enhance the performance level of schools by creating a competitive environment, increasing awareness among educators on the importance of quality performance in education and providing inspection tools and established standards.

Moreover, it enables school administrations to explore the best international practices in education, assessing school performance using a standardized grading system. View more information here. (Source: www.adec.ac.ae)
